Battlefield Touring always has surprises in store for travellers seeking the unusual and offbeat. The panorama above, for instance, was taken near Battle Mountain in Central Italy, and is one of our favorite battlefield locations. The battle giving the mountain its name was fought in the sixteenth century, but during World War II, the Allies fought here against Kesselring's retreating Axis forces. Battlefield Mountain is not currently part of our tour portfolio, but try us for a quote or itinerary on 0044 387 6620 and we'll see what we can do!
The Duke of Wellington's victories in Spain and Portugal pitch the battlefield visitor into some of Europe's most exotic landscapes. The Moorish Warrior (left), at Badajoz is a reminder on the depth of history on the Iberian Peninsula.
