aBB Tours Ltd, (BBT), has devised a unique Battlefield Tour - under the online title of 'American Victory 1918' which visits most of the important locations where Americans fought, lived and sometimes died, during the final cataclysmic 12 months of World War One.
As well as the Meuse-Argonne region - the scene of the USA's largest attack, BBT's itinerary includes the St. Mihil Salient, Bellau Wood, and Cantigny. As well as battlefields, this unique tour visits fortifications, trenches, strategic towns, museums and most moving of all, the cemeteries and monuments which commemorate the fallen of World War One. On the way BBT also guides you through other sites of historical importance, most significantly the fortress city of Verdun and the gret Palace of Versailles where the peacemakers met in 1919.

'American Victory 1918' . Hollywood produced an amazing musical sequence; 'My Forgotten Man' during the 1930's. When historian and journalist Michael Mannix visited the USA's WW1 battlefields, cemeteries and monuments in France, he was overwhelmed by the magnificance of the buildings and the care and dedication show by the USA's Monuments Commission in maintaining these huge structures. Unfortunately that memorable 'forgotten man' film sequence also came to mind. The Meuse-Argonne sacrifices have been generally neglected, and visitor numbers are relatively low. Co-operating with BB Tours' Chief Guide, Major Frank Baldwin, Michael Mannix commenced construction of this web site as a humble reminder to people on both sides of the Atlantic that the USA's role in the Great War of 1914 to 1918 was of tremendous historical significance and merits a more prominent position in our collective historical memories. From this initial inspiration, BB Tours has produced one of the few Western Front tour itineraries designed to view the front of 1917 and 1918 from an American perspective.
